Resolutions and Random Thoughts on the New Year

"Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." --Habukkuk 33:2

I want to live this year intentional and on purpose.

Proverbs 29:18 (King James Version)
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

I believe our purpose on earth is to glorify God. The best way to do that is by putting God first
in all areas of our lives.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV) .... Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

"God does not exist to make a big deal out of us. We exist to make a big deal out of Him" - Max Lucado It's Not About Me

Our deepest needs - Acceptance, Identity, Security, and Purpose - must be met by God.

Matthew 6:31-33 (KJV)
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32... for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

It isn't will we, but when will we put God first.

Philippians 2:10 (The Message)
—even those long ago dead and buried—will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that he is the Master of all, to the glorious honor of God the Father.

Romans 14:11-12 (KJV)
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

God created us to talk with Him. He is eager to hear from us. Our time in prayer is what makes Him real to us. We go to Him as a child and crawl up into His lap and talk to Him. God revels Himself to us when we spend time with Him.

What an honor and privilege to call Him Father.
